Senior Software Development Engineer
We are looking for a superb Linux server developer to join the team as we expand our business to a growing customer base in Europe. The absolute number one requirement for us is extremely strong C++ application development experience under Linux. Top candidates will also have some combination of background in network communications, databases, multi-threading, scalable server architectures, and interaction with GUI clients.
This role will include working directly with customers during the implementation of complex systems. An ability and desire to travel are essential, including some lengthy assignments in other countries.
We value people who are focused on getting product out the door and shipped. Folks who work quickly, well, and are proud to share their code with teammates. A proven track record is essential, enthusiasm a huge plus. Candidates should be able to dive in and learn large systems quickly.
This is not a web development job. We are not looking for people whose primary skills are HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, PHP, or ASP.
Job requirements include:
- C++ experience and expertise
- Linux development experience
- Proven ability to adapt to new environments and learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to travel internationally with a current passport
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
Desired qualities include:
- MySQL database experience
- Network programming experience with TCP/IP and SSL/TLS
- Fluent in French or Italian
- Experience working in Europe or Asia
